Review highlights

Based on 416 reviews

Living Tree Bali Cafe is widely praised for its delicious and well-prepared dishes, notably local favorites like Nasi Goreng and fresh seafood options such as salmon. The cafe is appreciated for its excellent price-value ratio, with many highlighting generous portions at reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive service is a consistent theme among reviews, enhancing the overall dining experience. The cafe’s intimate and cozy setting is noted, though some find the small space limiting. Beverage offerings, including coffee and iced tea, receive positive mentions. While the menu is generally well-liked, a few customers express preference for less heavy or creamy dressings in certain dishes. Overall, Living Tree Bali Cafe emerges as a beloved spot, especially appealing for casual meals and family visits in the Kuta area.

Small, unassuming, right on the side of the road. My sister recommended this place and the reviews overall are great. This will be no different. Hands down this is one of the best Nasi Gorengs I've ever had. At only 48,000rp it was perfect for lunch. I couldn't get a picture - I was enjoying it far too quick. My wife also got an Oceanic Salmon (pictured, as she had more restraint than myself) for 75,000rp and was very pleased as well. I've seen comments saying portion sizes aren't big enough, but at this price point I think the servings are incredibly generous. Additionally, as the owner has mentioned in review responses, the prices listed are EXACTLY what you are charged (meaning no 21% plus plus like the majority of places you'll visit). Finally, a previous review mentioned that Living Tree should have milk substitutes. To try this out my wife and I both asked for oat milk drinks (an iced macha and a vanilla milkshake) and I'm pleased to say that both were available and fantastic. Our total bill was 204,000rp. 10/10 - will be going back tomorrow.

We are currently in Bali with our two children, we came across this place on the first day for breakfast as we aren't staying far from it and honestly its the best food, we have been back everyday since, even my daughter who is fussy as back in Australia is eating avocado!! best coffee ive had too.

second review… this time for dinner… we had the salmon and the spaghetti bolognese Salmon was outstanding - crispy skin, perfectly cooked, served with salad with egg on a bed of beetroot hummus… serving size and price was excellent. Pasta was also very good too… but the salmon put it in distant second… Also had a virgin mojito which had a nice spritzy zing and the mint and lime were very fresh and tasty, and also had a dragon fruit juice which was great. Such quality food, presented great, friendly efficient service and good prices. Just the best. Will go back for round 3 for breakfast in next few days… >> edit: first review got eaten up by this one… and combined the photos…

AMAZING! The price–value ratio is unbeatable. Every bite was delicious, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Paying by card is no problem and comes with no extra fees. We loved it so much we came back twice, enjoying the wild toast and some wraps – both bursting with flavor. The iced tea is a must-try! This spot is an absolute gem and 100% worth adding to your itinerary.

I went to Living Tree in Kuta because of the good reviews and ordered the prawn tacos and a smoothie bowl. I was expecting grilled shrimp but it came deep fried which I was not a fan of and there was too much creamy dressing for my taste. The smoothie bowl was good and refreshing. The restaurant itself is very small but the staff were very friendly and the service was great.

A very small but cute breakfast all day dine in shop. Very friendly staff with great attitude and service level. As for the food, it’s like #celebrating life! Highly recommended.

One of the best breakfasts I had in Bali, considering both quality and price. Everything is fresh and made with care, and the prices are very fair and accessible. The place is small but beautifully arranged and spotless. I ordered a smoothie bowl , a strawberry juice, and a toast topped with avocado, eggs, and mushrooms (setas). The taste and portion size was really good. Everything was simply delicious. Totally recommended!

Absolutely our favourite place in Bali. The crepes I got only cost 45k which is just under $4.50 AUD. I couldn't even buy an iced coffee in Aus for that. And here I get crepes that look and taste delicious. It's pretty hard to be upset by that! There is some noise as they are on the road but we can still talk and have a good time. Food - while I've seen people say portions are small for the price I really can't agree with that. For me the portions and price matches really well. The price includes tax which makes it even better. The wrap sizing is amazing! My partner eats a lot of food and the wrap filled him up ! We both also agree we'd rather spend extra to get more then pay for a large portion we couldn't even get half way through. On top of that, the food here is always beautifully presented and tastes amazing. I've never had a bad meal her in the last 2.5 years. Coffee - easily my favourite coffee in Bali, is not overly sweat and you can always add extra if you want. Plus the beans they use ar delicious. My partner and myself both love the coffee here. We also had oat milk in mine as I'm not the best with full cream. And I'm excited to see more milk options have been added to all coffee places in Bali especially here. Service and staff - the staff are amazing. We couldn't come back for a while and they still remembered us. It was beautiful for us to hear how well they have been going lately. I couldn't imagine more deserving people of a successful cafe. All the staff here truely share the happiness and amazing service standards as when we were here 2 years ago. Only great leaders that care can do that. Overall - we love this cafe, the food, the atmosphere and the people. We are so happy to see them having success and we hope people give this cafe a chance. They really do have amazing coffee and delicious food.
